Homecoming looks like
refolding and second guessing
if each piece of clothing
is going to fit in your cupboard.
it looks like
scribbled blueprints
on loose sheets
of your old room,
trying to contain
all your adventures,
trying to hold
all your changes.
It looks like a rush
to finish your
city specific to-do list
only to realise that
you now have the
luxury of time.
It often looks like
old joys settling
on a new body.
But more often
its getting into a bed
already sculpted
to who you are.
